Predatory mites are microscopically small, beneficial arachnids that specifically combat pests such as spider mites, thrips or fungus gnat larvae – without the use of chemicals.
Depending on the species, predatory mites control spider mites, thrips, fungus gnat larvae and other sucking or soil-dwelling pests.
No, predatory mites are completely harmless to humans, pets, and plants. They don't sting or bite and don't cause allergies.

About 10 days after applying Green Guardia predatory mites, you'll already notice a significant reduction in the infestation. After another week, you should check your plants more closely: If you find more bright orange-red predatory mites on the leaves than greenish-yellow, black-spotted spider mites, the control is successful.
To determine whether your plants are free of soft mites, make sure the leaves are free of fine webs and the plant looks healthier overall. The absence of small, yellowish spots on the leaves is also a good sign. With thrips, you can tell if the mites are free of silvery sucking spots or dark droppings on the leaves.
Within 2 to 3 weeks your plants will be almost free of thrips, spider mites, soft-skinned mites and soft-skinned mites.

For long-term pest control, the application of the predatory mites can be repeated as needed. We also offer bags that can be easily hung on the plant or sprinkled.
In addition to the predatory mites, the bags also contain food, so the mites often have enough food and don't leave the bag immediately. This is completely normal and not a sign that they are inactive.
